Tar Heels Add Two Assistant Football Strength & Conditioning Coaches
June 11, 2007 Chapel Hill, N.C. ---- Kerry Harbor and Jeremy Cole have been named North Carolina football strength and conditioning assistant coaches and will work under the direction of Assistant Athletic Director for Strength and Conditioning Jeff Connors. Harbor comes to Carolina after working last season as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at North Carolina A&T. He previously worked at UNC as a graduate assistant strength coach from 1999-2000. He was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Illinois from 2000-04 and held assistant football coaching positions at West Brunswick High School in Shallotte, N.C. (2004-05), and Ronald Reagan High School (2005-06) in Winston-Salem, N.C. Harbor earned his bachelor's degree from North Carolina Central University in 1997. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Cole worked last season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the University of Kansas football team. He held a similar role with the Indianapolis Colts from 2005-06, while also serving as a personal trainer. Cole played football at the University of Findlay in Ohio and earned degrees
in strength and conditioning and personal training.
