UNC Strength And Conditioning Announces Honors
May 7, 2008
The Olympic Sport Strength and Conditioning staff has announced the winners of the SuperRam and IronRam competitions for 2007-08. The SuperRam overall women's top performer was Christine Knauer (softball) and the men's top performer was Michael J. Burns (lacrosse). The IronRam overall women's top performer was Riley Foster (field hockey) and Seth Williams (baseball) was the men's top performer. The SuperRam Team Award went to soccer in the women's competition and lacrosse in the men's competition. Also of note this year was the men's back squat record being broken once again by a member of the baseball team. It was only fitting that the record was broken by one of the same athletes who set it last year. Tim Federowicz lifted 560 pounds, besting the previous record by five pounds.
