Neumann, Hicks, Miranda Lead Women's Fencing In Temple Open

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Senior Meghan Neumann finished second overall and first for the Tar Heels in the women's sabre in the Temple Open Saturday in Philadelphia, Pa. In the women's foil, sophomore Tara Miranda led UNC and finished eighth overall, while teammate Maia Kaplan finished just behind her at ninth. In the epee, senior Janeen Hicks came in fifth overall to lead Carolina.

Juniors Kim and Kyle Treiber finished fifth and ninth in the sabre and fellow junior Heather Lacy came in at no. 10.
