North Carolina Reflects on 07-08 Season

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina's men and women's fencing teams concluded the regular season at the Duke Dual Meets on February 8 and 9. The men's team finished with a record of 28-10 and the women's team finished 25-10.

While the regular season is completed, some North Carolina fencers will be competing in the Junior Olympics on Saturday. On February 24 nine fencers will compete at the MAFCA Conference Championship at West Point. NCAA regionals take place on March 1 in Madison, N.J where North Carolina will have 24 representatives.

TarHeelBlue.com sat down with senior epee fencer Benton Heimsath, sophomore sabre fencer Patti Sanders, senior sabre fencer Will Randolph, freshman epee fencer Melissa Litschi and Head Coach Ron Miller. The Tar Heels discuss their thoughts on the regular season and their preparation for the postseason.
