The University of North Carolina and Wachovia would like to congratulate Lutisha Shittu, the Wachovia Woman of the Week.

Lutisha is a junior track athlete from Lexington, Kentucky. She was an All-ACC selection in the 60-meter hurdles and qualified for the NCAA Championships and the US Olympic Trials. Off the track, Lutisha was instrumental in working on the track team project, Christmas Outreach, where she took over 50 elementary school children on a tour of Morehead Planetarium and exchanged Christmas presents with them. She also coaches youth track in her hometown. Her coach, Dennis Craddock said “Lutisha is a great leader for us on and off the track.”

Wachovia is committed to supporting achievements by women and is proud to celebrate Lutisha Shittu’s accomplishments.
