Susan Hayes, Field Hockey

The University of North Carolina and Wachovia would like to congratulate Susan Hayes, the Wachovia Woman of the Week.

Susan is a senior field hockey player from Bethesda, Maryland. She has started at back for UNC for the last three years and was named to the All-ACC Tournament last season. Her coach, Karen Shelton said, "Susan has led our young squad this spring, setting an example on and off the field." Susan also excels in the classroom and in the community as she has been named to the Dean's List and the ACC Honor Roll while volunteering her time to teach English to a Spanish-speaking middle school student.
