The University of North Carolina and Wachovia would like to congratulate Kate McDaniel, the Wachovia Woman of the Week.

Kate is a senior lacrosse player from Falls Church, Virginia. She is a tri-captain and a leader on the team's defensive unit. Her coach, Jenny Slingluff Levy says Kate is a "really hard worker and a total team player." Off the field, Kate is a sociology major who plans to enroll in Nursing School.
