Doug Roberts has been a member of the UNC Academic Support Program staff since 1996. He serves as the office manager, as well as an administrative assistant. A native of Somers, Conn., Roberts earned a degree in business from Asbury College in 1985. He managed an office furniture distributorship and worked as a high school drop-out prevention counselor before coming to UNC. He earned a master's degree in counselor education from Florida Atlantic University in 1995. Roberts and his wife, Jane, have been married for 21 years. Jane is a Senior Research Scientist at UNC's Frank Porter Graham Child Development Center. They have three children: DJ, Jake, and Sydnie. Roberts enjoys playing golf, fishing and attending UNC sporting events. |
