Smith Center Entry Policies
 

The following policies will be implemented during University of North Carolina men's basketball games for building security and patron safety:

  • The following items will not be permitted in the arena:
    backpacks, duffel bags, backpack style/oversize/large purses, computer cases, alcohol, bottles, food, cans, thermoses, coolers, drugs, chains, fireworks, explosives, weapons, knives (of any size), noise makers, horns, signs, flags, banners, laser pointers, video equipment and any other items deemed inappropriate by Smith Center personnel. Leave all items at home or in your vehicle. No items will be checked-in.

  • All guests and/or their belongings are subject to be screened by entry personnel. Please arrive early. Doors open 1 1/2 hours prior to an event.

  • Due to increased security, smoking outside Entrances B and D at halftime have been suspended for this season. No exit or re-entry on ticket stubs will be allowed this year.

  • Entrance C will not be used as a spectator entrance this season.

  • The Smith Center will be closed to the public on weekday home basketball games and on weekends to secure the arena for each event.
