Career Development for Student-Athletes

The mission of the Career Development program, part of the Student-Athlete Development program at UNC, is to prepare each Tar Heel student-athlete for a fulfilling career following graduation. To that end, we offer assistance in exploring career fields, building and polishing your resume, finding internships in your chosen field, locating opportunities and, finally, landing a job.

If you would like more information or would like to schedule an appointment, contact Dana Gelin at (919) 962-0083 or dgelin@uncaa.unc.edu.

  • All UNC student-athletes are urged to register with University Career Services, an outstanding resource open to all UNC students. Click here to register. For the 2007-08 school year, the Career Center is located in Granville Towers South during the renovation of Hanes Hall.

  • AlumniAthlete Network is a career resource especially for student-athletes. You can use the site to search for jobs and internships, and employers can use it to search for you! Because the service is available exclusively to student-athletes, it requires registration. All UNC student-athletes are urged to register with the site. Click here to register.
